On Thursday 1 October 2020, POTUS announced via social media that FLOTUS and himself has tested positive for COVID-19. The announcement came a few hours after the Counselor to the President, Hope Hicks tested positive for COVID-19.
In the previous issue the “Unprecedented” use of keywords during this COVID-19 pandemic, such as the word “Unprecedented”, was mentioned. Here, more keywords are explored and discussed; they are depicted in parentheses for easy identification.
During this pandemic there has been an “unprecedented” use of keywords to describe various situations; an example of such a keyword is the word … “unprecedented”.
Although we encountered two coronavirus outbreaks in recent years (SARS-CoV in 2002 and MERS-CoV in 2012 [still ongoing]), for the vast majority COVID-19 represents our first experience of a global pandemic.
Initially, the cases of atypical pneumonia in Wuhan, China, first reported on December 31st 2019, were seen as a local issue. This persisted through January where cases were predominantly restricted to China.
Today (1 October 2020), we launch the EpiMedLab website. Given the ongoing pandemic, in this first phase, our main aim is to provide the scientific community with our COVID-19 molecular dynamics simulations trajectories.
